You can access the backslash in the third keyboard layout. You do this by tapping the 123 in the lower left of your keyboard, followed by the {&=.

        • Disable gestures to improve multitouch

On some older phones such as the HTC Desire, tapping a key on the right hand side of the keyboard then one on the left quickly will register as a right-to-left swipe gesture and delete the word you are typing.

Turing gesture sensitivity up to 100% helps a little, words are no longer deleted but it seems the gesture is still being registered, as often it will not register that you have pressed either key. Often I'll have finished typing a word and only have a couple letters come up on screen.

You are now able to disable gestures in SwiftKey X 2.2. You can find that option within your Advanced submenu.

You can turn off SwiftKey’s autocorrection by changing SwiftKey’s “Spacebar will…” functionality to “always insert a space”. This setting can be found within SwiftKey’s Advanced settings.

            • Long press keys for numbers and characters

All the keys should have long press options for other characters; q - p should be for 0 - 9 and other letters for other characters. Toggling back between numbers and letters is a hassle. Even more so for dashes and the ampersand.

Every key on the primary layout already has long-press functionality to enter secondary characters. q-p already can enter 1-0. longpressing the d enters the ampersand.

                  • Auto correct when you click the middle of a word

If you want to type "person" and type "peason", if you click the word somewhere in the middle, let's say between the "a" and the "s", if you click the correct word on the suggestion box you get "person son". The keyboard duplicates the remaining part of the word.
Please make it possible to correct a word by clicking anywhere on it.

                    • Hide the keyboard only with back button

I hide the keyboard accidentally while typing, because I tent to type outside typing area. If the keyboard would hide ONLY when pressing back button this would be solved

                        • Multiple languages

It's great that SwiftKey detects the input language (from those languages you've got installed!), but during setup, there isn't really any hint suggesting that you can install multiple languages and that SwiftKey would support that.

It might be useful to tweak the install process just a little. There's no need to introduce an extra step - after all, most people will only want to use one language. But just explaining that multiple languages can be added, and that SwiftKey will detect which is used would be very useful.

The buttons could be a little larger in portrait mode, like the " Multi-touch keyboard"

                              • Auto correct words with apostrophes better. Im should be I'm, id should be I'd, etc.

In the old SK, words with apostrophes (contractions) were automatically put in instead of just writing Ill, id, im, Ive, etc. SK 3 changed this, and I would love to see it brought back.

Upgrading from SwiftKey X, you may need to update your language models. To do this, go to Settings, Languages & layouts, press menu and tap “update languages”. When “update” appears next to your language(s), press it. When you return to your keyboard things should be working properly.

Please make it so you can turn keypad vibration off, for the love of GOD!

You can adjust your keypad vibration by tapping your SwiftKey settings key (directly to the right of your <123> key), and then selecting Settings>Advanced>Audio & haptic feedback.

Since the update last week... If I long press enter key to select smiley and release / lift my finger ... The menu of smiley options closes. Prior to the update a long press of enter key kept smiley menu open. The only way to now choose a smiley from the menu is to keep my finger in constant Contact with the screen and slide it up over the menu. If finger is lifted off screen at any point, the smiley menu closes. Prior to update last week this was not the case.

We have recently changed the way emoticons have been selected in SwiftKey X 2.2. Please update to the most recent version available.
